Zoora FC come from behind to win at River City

Ronald Mugisha's equaliser and a late Joseph Kavuma strike turned the game around on the road.

Zoora FC produced a gritty away performance to beat River City FC 2-1, recovering from an early setback to claim all three points on the road.

Early scare, composed response

The hosts led inside fifteen minutes through Victor Ariko, but Zoora FC settled and found a leveller when Ronald Mugisha converted an Allan Ssenyonga cross just past the hour.

Substitute Joseph Kavuma, introduced midway through the second half, won the match with a driving finish from the edge of the area in the closing stages, sparking wild celebrations among the travelling support.

Mugisha takes the fans' award

Fans voted Ronald Mugisha their Player of the Match for his equaliser and his all-round contribution up front, edging out Ssenyonga and matchwinner Kavuma in a closely contested poll.

Zoora FC's unbeaten run now stretches across their last three league matches, home and away.
